Essential Oils during the flu seaon

Today I am reading up on ways to prevent the flu/colds as much as possible and ways to ease the symptoms if we do get sick.  Allergy season was much better with the use of essential oils so I am expecting the winter season will improved with the use of essential oils also. If you check out my doTERRA site be sure to click on the "Our Blog" tab and also the doTERRA LIVING Magazine for a wealth of information. There are some great tips on how to combat the flu season and lesson the symptoms and longevity of colds and  the flu. On Guard is a great blend of essential oils that rid the area of bacteria, viruses, mold and fungi. It can be diffused in the air, sprayed on surfaces or applied topically to your body.

-Fill a 1/3 oz. roller bottle or 15ml bottle with:
18 drops Lemon
14 drops OnGuard
14 drops Melaleuca
10 drops Oregano
Fractionated coconut oil
Roll on bottom of feet (enters the blood stream fastest)
Diffuse OnGuard in the air (using cool mist diffuser; smells amazing)
Take internally in a veggie capsule (capsules are available at any health food or herbal store)
for internal dose use: 4 drops of lemon, 2 drops of oregano, 2 drops of melaleuca and 2 drops of OnGuard blend
doTERRA Essential Oils work perfectly with the body to support normal functions of the body and dōTERRA products are safe to use on all ages.
For young children apply with a carrier oil such as coconut oil.

Since I have so much to learn about making better choices for better health I've been scouring for good information to guide me down the path of wellness. I have discovered Jill Winger at
theprairiehomestead, and she has a wonderful website that is chock full of great insight and natural alternatives.  Check out her site sometime too.
